Worked remotely in SLC for a few weeks with friends and skied at Brighton — an amazing resort, especially with the Ikon pass.
Stayed at an Airbnb in Central City — a bit far from Brighton, but very close to grocery stores, cafes, and restaurants.
If you're flying in, I'd recommend renting a car directly from SLC Airport. It wasn't too expensive and made getting to Brighton much more convenient — the Ikon shuttle doesn't come very often and was often crowded.
